Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Do you accept insurance?
We provide receipts with the CPT treatment code for therapeutic and medical massage and manual therapy to our clients so that they may submit it to their insurance company. It is your responsibility to contact your provider in advance to see if they cover massage and to submit your claim. We suggest you speak with your physician to see if they will write you a prescription for medical or therapeutic massage to treat your condition, but you do not need a prescription to see us.
Can I use flex spending (FSA) or health savings (HSA) to pay?
Many clients pay for services using their flexible spending or health spending account. We can also provide receipts with the CPT treatment code for therapeutic and medical massage and manual therapy to clients should you need it to claim reimbursement.
Do you take walk-in's?
Due to COVID-19 and to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff, we will not be taking walk-in appointments for the next few months. We ask that you book 8 hours in advance and complete an online covid screening questionnaire, informed consent and health intake form in advance of your session. Thank you.
Do I need to fill out forms? Can I fill out the forms when I get there?
When you book your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email or text with 3 links to online forms that we ask you to complete in advance of the session. They include an online covid screening questionnaire which should be completed prior to every session; an informed consent to treatment which is completed once; and client health intake form. Please let us know if you do not receive these forms.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks have been shown to limit the spread of the virus. You must wear an appropriate face mask or covering that covers BOTh nose and mouth at all times in the building. If you do not have one, we will provide you with a mask for a small fee. If it is uncomfortable for you to wear a mask while in a lying face-down position, let the therapist know, and they can administer the massage in a side-lying position.
What is your cancellation policy?
Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility. If you feel ill, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule, and we will waive the fee. If you are a "no show" meaning you do not contact us to cancel and fail to arrive for your appointment, we will charge the card on file and pay the therapist for the time that they reserved for you.
Where can I park?
Street parking is currently readily available and you'll need to feed the meter. Please note if they have a time limit. Paid parking lots are plentiful but pricier. Please note due to COVID some lots have earlier closing times.
What's the closest public transportation?
Eye Street Massage Therapy is next to the Farragut West metro station (blue/orange/silver lines) on the corner of 17th st and I St NW. One block away is Farragut North (red line) on the corner of Connectcut Ave and K St NW. We are also across the street from Farragut Square, the park where many buses stop.
Do you offer discounts?

We offer a package discount of 10 percent on a series of 5 or more appointments. Seniors and students are eligible for $5 off on sessions of 30 minutes or longer.
